How to remove your tan from your hands and feet

Tanning your hands and feet can be some of the trickiest spots to tan. Even if you do manage to get good coverage you may notice later when it dries there are some awkward looking streaks. TAN TIP: Next time you tan, try exfoliating your hands and feet to avoid those streaky looking marks. Our exfoliating mitt is an essential item in our tanning collection, to use it you just have to rub the mitt over the area you want the tan removed in circular motions. It is crucial to rub very lightly if you want to only even out your tan and not remove it. Once your hands and feet are now looking at the same level as the rest of your body, finish off the process with moisturiser and continue to moisturise parts of your body like your hands and feet regularly. This will prolong your tan and keep you feeling soft throughout the duration of your tan. Other methods If you unfortunately are not in possession of our tan eraser water, there is no need to panic because there are some other home remedies which you could try. Anything slightly porous like an exfoliator will always be your best bet for removing tan. If you have a body scrub handy try mixing that with a body oil, you can then apply this mixture gently as many times as needed to get your desired look and level of tan. The way this works is the oil breaks down the components in the tan for easy removal while the scrub exfoliates the colour off and removes old skin cells. Nothing says you have a sun kissed golden glow like a nice tan on the face. However, we know all of the sun's damaging rays can age you pretty quickly. Which is why we choose to use our dark self-tan water to achieve the same results without the damage. SMOOTH THE WAY When self- tanning the preparation stage is arguably the most important part, and for your face there are no exceptions. We recommend using a gentle exfoliator on your face the day before you tan to remove any unwanted dead skin, this leaves your face prepped for the tan to stick on a smooth base. Always follow this step with whatever other skincare products you usually use suitable for your skin type and needs. Right before you apply your tan, use your favourite cleanser to ensure your skin is as clean as possible and there is no residual makeup or products that will interfere with the way the tan develops. A hot tip when rinsing off your cleanser is to wash it away with cold water, this is a handy trick that closes your pores so the tan wont seep in and cause other issues. GLOW UP Once you’re ready to tan your face it’s time to choose the right shade, we recommend using the same product over your whole body to ensure you look as natural and seam free as possible. Our dark self-tan water is the perfect shade for your entire body but if you like a darker shade on your legs or arms, we at least recommend matching your face to your neck and decolletage to ensure there are no awkward harsh lines that look out of place. This technique gives you a seamless looking tan from your head to your chest and so on giving you a perfect faux tan. TRICK OF THE TRADE We love giving you all the secrets to give you the best tanning outcome, one of our favourite steps is to have some chill time after you’ve applied the tan. We recommend sitting down and taking it easy while you read a book or watch a movie or doing something that won’t involve much facial movement. This may sound like an odd request, but less movement means less streaks in the development, this goes hand in hand with avoiding touching your face to keep smudges and streaks at bay. To avoid those streaks from the outset try using our vegan blending brush. We created this brush for the awkward spots a large mitt can’t get to , just like your face. The soft bristles are perfect for your soft skin and allow you to get in awkward spots like around your nose and ears. Of course, the brush is washable and reusable, so it’s ready to go every time you need it. How to prepare your tan

So, it's time to tan, and you've come to find out what you should do to prepare. Here is our easy five step guide for preparing your skin for self-tanning. STEP ONE - EXFOLIATEThe first step is an easy one, buff away the unwanted residue on your skin such as dead skin skills and natural body oils to leave your skin fresh and primed. STEP TWO - SHAVEIf you desire, now is the best time to shave, being careful and gentle over the areas you just exfoliated as your skin is now more sensitive. This is a good time to shave as your pores will be closed by the time you go to tan later. STEP THREE - WASHHop in the shower and wash yourself with your favourite body wash to cleanse your skin to be fresh, clean and revitalised. STEP FOUR - HYDRATEHydrate your freshly washed skin to prepare for your tan by using a creamy moisturiser to leave your skin nourished and prepped. Being extra generous on drier areas like your knees, elbows, hands and feet until fully absorbed into the skin. Your tan will now glide effortlessly over your body and won’t stick to dry areas that can cause uneven looking streaks. STEP FIVE - TANThe final step in your routine is none other than the main event. For best results we recommend following steps 1-3 at least 24 hours before you want to tan to make sure you’re applying your tan on clean, dry skin with closed pores. How much does shipping cost and how long does it take?

All orders are shipped within 1 business day.

FREE Standard shipping (3-5 business days) on all orders$4.95 Express shipping (1-2 business days).

Customers who order a double-sided tanning mitt, exfoliating mitt or vegan blending brush with no other products will have their order shipped untracked via a large letter service with Australia Post.

Please note: Delivery to WA, TAS, NT and regional areas may take up to 7 business days.

How do I track the location of my order?

Please refer to your shipping confirmation email for your tracking number. If you are still unable to find your tracking number or track your order, please email us at hello@bronzeera.com.au.

Can I cancel my order?

All cancellation requests are reviewed individually. Email us at hello@bronzeera.com.au soon as possible with ‘cancel order’ and your order confirmation number in the subject line. If the order has not been dispatched and we receive enough information in time, we may be able to issue you a refund, however if it has been dispatched, then we will be unable to process your request. If you wish to cancel your order after it has been dispatched you will have to return your order back to us within 30 days for a refund. $10 for shipping & handling will be deducted from all refunds.
